This tool is designed when pressure and deflection are a problem. The knurling heads are able to "float" somewhere and center on the workpiece, compensating for any off-centering. Precise square shank with present center height. A diametrical adjustment screw regulates the depth of the knurl pattern and diameter size. The compact version is to be used when tool clearance is a problem.
