Threadex® Operating Instructions:
- Step 1: Select the appropriate Morse Taper Shank - 2, 3, or 4 - to fit lathe tail stock.
- Step 2: Select the head to fit the desired die O.D. Insert shank into lathe tail stock.
- Step 3: Slide head onto shank with die mounted into head by set screws. (Be careful not to overtighten set screws; deformation of the threads on the die may result.)
- Step 4: Loosten tail stock and advance toward work piece until die engages work piece.
- Step 5: Lock tail stock and advance holder with tail stock crank until head begins to self feed.
- Step 6: Reverse at desired length of thread and head will back off threaded part.
